Semi -Cleaned Up Great Brain Adults

Here's Mama and Papa and more realized versions of Cal Roberts and Aunt Bertha...these are all still to "pose" oriented to me, especially "Mama". I like Papa quite a bit, though— can anyone identify his personality traits from this sketch?

Cal looks great, but the range of actions is still completely untapped...to that end I started expanding the silhouettes and actions of Tom and Basil...especially Basil.

Hey dude! Thanks for dropping by. Very nice start to your blog, really solid work!

As per photoshop, i don't really use it that much, just for that particular piece with the boxers. I mainly use sketchbook pro for my clean up work and my coloring. :D I love that program! Keep the great work coming my friend!

Thanks! I may have to look into Sketchbook pro...what for you is the difference between Photoshop and Sketchbook pro?

Thanks for the really awesome comment dude! I use layering, but not to get the textured effect. I just mainly use brushes for that. Keep visiting! :)

Cool! do you custom make your brushes?

Nice to see you're getting some action on your blog right off the bat:). I saw you were talking about custom made brushes, so I thought I'd direct you to Chris Wahl's blog. He makes some truly awesome custom brushes for PS and is kind enough to give them away for free.

Hi Hans! Thanks- I'll check out Chris's blog today. I'm excited, as well that there's some interest. I really enjoy keeping up with what this community is doing and communicating back and forth and sharing ideas. I've freelanced or worked day jobs where there is little or no creative feedback ( or learning ), so to me this is great. i also like that seeing everyone working so much on their portfolios or jobs forces me to work hard to keep up with the "Jones", so to speak. Everyone is so talented and so creative!
